About US
Our Story
I used to be deputy Managing Director of a UK Deaf charity and has worked there for fifteen years before becoming Executive Director of a deaf charity based in Greater Manchester. I am now teaching part-time for a college in North Wales delivering foundation degree in Deaf studies and British Sign Language.
I have achieved a master’s degree in Business Administration and became accredited in Action Learning Facilitator with Action Learning Associates. I have also achieved a degree in Health and Social Welfare, diploma in Health and Social Care. I am a qualified level three assessor with the Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance Awards (TAQA).
I would like to support people with their personal and professional development hence the creation of this website and my service. This is how Action Learning and Deaf Awareness (ALDA) training came about. I have teamed up with BSL teachers across the UK to enable BSL learners to have one to one tuition support wherever they are.
TESTIMONIALS
What Our Students Say
“A highly enjoyable course, which gives you space to reflect on the process of asking questions and enabling someone else to seek a solution. The course focuses on one model, which allows you to refine your skills in one area.
The course is facilitated and very much hands on, so not only do you get to practice skills, but the time does indeed pass very quickly. Dealing with real-life issues in a safe non-judgemental and confidential space, maintains a human interest and with the added bonus of being able to see your own circumstances in another light. This course is worth your time.” Activist – Mid Wales
“A really enjoyable course and one which I got so much from. It helped me form my questioning skills and enabled me to get feedback from fellow professionals and the deaf community alike. I would highly recommend this course for the professionalism that Richard (Course leader) showed throughout.
Also, the price is great for all CPD hours you get!”
